DERM RENEWAL PEEL PACKAGE  for patients looking to reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, combat the visible signs of age, and improve the overall tone and texture of the skin. These chemical peels work by removing the outer layers of the skin to reveal the healthy, undamaged skin below for a younger-looking, more radiant complexion.



In order to achieve optimal results, We recommend:
TCA or Jessner PEEL - 2-3 treatments per year to sustain the desired results and for regular maintenance and rejuvenation.

What to Do Before Your Peel: 
  • 3 day prior to your first peel, stop using exfoliating creams or sponges.  
  • If you have a history of cold sores, you must start taking Valtrex 2 days prior to your treatment and 2 days after treatment.
  • Avoid shaving the treatment area the day of your peel.
  • Avoid waxing in the treatment area 5 days prior to your peel. 

What to Expect after Your Peel:
Your skin may be slightly red immediately following your peel. This usually subsides within minutes or hours. For peels with lightest concentration, you can expect a recovery time of a week or more. The peeling process usually begins 3-4 days following your treatment. During this time your skin will begin to dry and tighten. This is normal as the skin is preparing for the shedding process. Once the peeling process begins it is extremely important not to pick or force skin that is not ready to shed. This can result in minor scabbing or discoloration of the skin. While this is usually correctable, you do not want to go through the extra days it will take for your skin to heal.The degree of peeling will be based on the strength of the solution and your skin type. If you tend to have a naturally dry skin type, you may peel more than someone with naturally oily skin. Oily skin types naturally hydrate their skin during the peeling process.The amount of peeling does not determine the effectiveness of the treatment.You may moisturize as often as you like. Wearing a physical SPF of 30 or higher is mandatory to protect your skin during this process and to protect your new skin once it has healed.

Who is not a candidate for a Derma Renewal Peel? 
Generally light-haired and fair skinned people are the best candidates for chemical peel. The procedure does not work as well on dark-skinned patients. The procedure is not recommended for individuals with infections, active skin disease, cut or broken skin, sunburns or active Herpes simplex 1 sores. Other counter-indications include patients who are:
  •  Nursing or pregnant. 
  •  Have taken Accutane in last six months. 
  •  Have psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis or rosacea.
  •  Have used Retin-A, Renova, prescription skin care products, products that contain ascorbic acid, bleaching or skin-lightening agents or other acid-based products in the last 48 hours.
  • Does not have a job that requires them to be outside
  • Has no history of keloids or poor wound healing. 
  • People who have taken the acne medication should avoid chemical peels for a period of time after completing treatment​
What is a TCA peel?
A TCA peel is a noninvasive skin treatment used to treat skin discolorations, scarring, and wrinkles. These peels get their name from trichloroacetic acid (TCA), which is used to clear away dead skin cells to reveal the newer and smoother skin layers below. TCA peels are part of the group of skin treatments called chemical peels, which are used to exfoliate your skin by using different strengths and combinations of nontoxic acid ingredients.

What can a TCA Peel be used to treat?
  •       Mild wrinkles
  •       Superficial acne scarring
  •       Hyperpigmentation
  •       Actinic keratosis
  •       Collagen Loss

What is a Jessner Peel?
Jessner peels are milder than TCA peels and are recommended for patients with darker skin tones or for those who suffer from melasma. Jessner peels can be used to improve the tone and texture of the skin, reduce the appearance of large pores, and improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. In order to achieve optimal results, we recommend a series of five to six peels scheduled once a month.

After peel Instructions - AVOID for 2-3 days

  • overheating
  • hot showers, baths, and other hot steam
  • hair dryers near the treated area
  • swimming
  • activities that result in a lot of sweating
  • exfoliating the treated skin for 5 days.
  • icing or heating the treated area


You  should avoid direct sun exposure in the next 2 weeks following the  peel. Wear sunscreen with an SPF 30 or more, and don’t use a tanning  bed for at least 2 weeks.

CANCELATION POLICY
Your appointment time is reserved, especially for you. Please give 24-hour notice if you need to change or cancel your appointment. Appointments canceled with less than a 24-hour notice will be charged 60% of the service booked.

PRE-APPOINTMENT FORM- You must fill out the CONSULTATION AND COVID-19 PRE-APPOINTMENT SCREENING FORM before the appointment.

RETURN
If, for any reason, you are not fully satisfied with a product, please return the unused portion of the product along with the receipt within 14 days, and we will gladly issue you a TPS studio credit for future use.

    Where treatment has already commenced, for example one treatment in a package of 3 has already been performed, these partially used packages are not refundable with cash. In the event that a service has been paid for as part of a package but not yet used past the 48 hrs or partially used but the client no longer wishes to receive that particular service, another service or products will be made available to the client to chose from to the exact amount remaining on the account


COVID-19 POLICY 
WE ARE UNDER STRICT SAFETY PROTOCOLS- PPE, Facial bed shield covering, Fogger machine, UV light, HEPA air filters, offering disposable mini face N95 mask covering for treatments, keeping our windows next to the facial bed open. We are limiting the number of patients in the office and will be spending extra time disinfection, and I will be wearing an N95 mask and face shields.
