What to Do Before Your Peel: 
  • 3 day prior to your first peel, stop using exfoliating creams or sponges.  
  • If you have a history of cold sores, you must start taking Valtrex 2 days prior to your treatment and 2 days after treatment.
  • Avoid shaving the treatment area the day of your peel.
  • Avoid waxing in the treatment area 5 days prior to your peel. 

What to Expect after Your Peel:
Your skin may be slightly red immediately following your peel. This usually subsides within minutes or hours. For peels with lightest concentration, you can expect a recovery time of a week or more. The peeling process usually begins 3-4 days following your treatment. During this time your skin will begin to dry and tighten. This is normal as the skin is preparing for the shedding process. Once the peeling process begins it is extremely important not to pick or force skin that is not ready to shed. This can result in minor scabbing or discoloration of the skin. While this is usually correctable, you do not want to go through the extra days it will take for your skin to heal.The degree of peeling will be based on the strength of the solution and your skin type. If you tend to have a naturally dry skin type, you may peel more than someone with naturally oily skin. Oily skin types naturally hydrate their skin during the peeling process.The amount of peeling does not determine the effectiveness of the treatment.You may moisturize as often as you like. Wearing a physical SPF of 30 or higher is mandatory to protect your skin during this process and to protect your new skin once it has healed.

Who is not a candidate for a Custom Skin Renewal Peel? 
Generally light-haired and fair skinned people are the best candidates for chemical peel. The procedure does not work as well on dark-skinned patients. The procedure is not recommended for individuals with infections, active skin disease, cut or broken skin, sunburns or active Herpes simplex 1 sores. Other counter-indications include patients who are:
  •  Nursing or pregnant. 
  •  Have taken Accutane in last six months. 
  •  Have psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis or rosacea.
  •  Have used Retin-A, Renova, prescription skin care products, products that contain ascorbic acid, bleaching or skin-lightening agents or other acid-based products in the last 48 hours.
  • Does not have a job that requires them to be outside
  • Has no history of keloids or poor wound healing. 
  • People who have taken the acne medication should avoid chemical peels for a period of time after completing treatment​


After peel Instructions - AVOID for 2-3 days

  • overheating
  • hot showers, baths, and other hot steam
  • hair dryers near the treated area
  • swimming
  • activities that result in a lot of sweating
  • exfoliating the treated skin for 5 days.
  • icing or heating the treated area


You  should avoid direct sun exposure in the next 2 weeks following the  peel. Wear sunscreen with an SPF 30 or more, and don’t use a tanning  bed for at least 2 weeks.

NO SHOW/ LATE CANCELLATION POLICY 

t’s important to understand that when forgetting or cancelling appointments without giving enough notice, businesses lose the opportunity to fill that appointment time, and other clients waiting for appointments miss out on receiving services. For the benefit and respect of all our clients and professionals, booking appointments through THE PURE SKIN are subject to the following terms:


  • We respectfully request at least 24 hours notice prior to your scheduled appointment time for cancellations or rescheduling of appointments; 24hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule groups of three or more appointments,
  • ANY APPOINTMENTS CANCELLED/RESCHEDULED OR CHANGED WITHOUT POLICY’S HOURS’ NOTICE WILL RESULT IN A CHARGE EQUAL TO 60% OF THE RESERVED SERVICE AMOUNT.
  • ALL “NO SHOWS” WILL BE CHARGED 100% OF THE RESERVED SERVICE AMOUNT.
  • Appointments that are booked within the 12-8-hour period are still subject to the cancellation policy.
  • FOR A SCHEDULED TREATMENT USING YOUR GIFT CARD/CERTIFICATE OR MONTHLY ACCRUED MEMBER CREDIT- IT WILL BE CONSIDERED REDEEMED AND VOIDED ON THE DATE OF YOUR APPOINTMENT.
  • As a courtesy, appointment confirmation messages are sent 48 hours in advance of appointments by both SMS and email to the contact information given at time of booking. Failing to respond to those confirmation messages could result in your appointment slot being given to another client.

APPOINTMENT FORM- You will receive an email with the consultation form attached. Please take a few moments to fill out the CONSULTATION  FORM before the appointment. This will allow RM to better understand our needs and tailor our services to meet your expectations. 

TIME: As small business please arrive at least 10-5 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow time for check-in and relaxation.

LATE ARRIVALS may result in shortened treatment times.

SILENCE YOUR DEVICES To maintain a peaceful atmosphere, silence your cell phone or electronic devices before entering the studio area.
Communicate any preferences or concerns you have with your esthetician before the treatment begins. This includes discussing any allergies, sensitivities, or areas of focus.

RESPECT THE QUIET ZONE: The studio  is a place of tranquility and relaxation. Speak softly and avoid loud conversations in common
areas. 


Avoid lingering in common areas or treatment rooms after your session has ended.

HYGIENE:  Practice good personal hygiene.

Attire: Wear comfortable clothing to your appointment and remove any jewelry or accessories that may interfere with your treatment. Your esthetician will provide you with appropriate gowns or towels as needed.


NO EXTRA GUESTS 
Keeping the number of people in the building to a minimum. 


WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE TO ANYONE
Therapists may terminate service when experiencing a client's inappropriate language or action.

RESERVATIONS
A credit card is required to reserve your appointment. While every effort is made to provide a courtesy confirmation, please be sure to call us to verify your appointment time and services.

RETURN
If, for any reason, you are not fully satisfied with a product, please return the unused portion of the product along with the receipt within 14 days, and we will gladly issue you a TPS studio credit for future use.

    Where treatment has already commenced, for example one treatment in a package of 3 has already been performed, these partially used packages are not refundable with cash. In the event that a service has been paid for as part of a package but not yet used past the 48 hrs or partially used but the client no longer wishes to receive that particular service, another service or products will be made available to the client to chose from to the exact amount remaining on the account.
  • NOTICE: Occasionally, unforeseen problems may occur, and your appointment will need to be rescheduled. We will make
    every effort to notify you prior to your arrival to the office. ​Please be understanding if we cause you any inconvenience.
